Silica Additives for Increasing Self-cleaning Properties of Composites

Degussa Aerosil & Silanes has recently developed two new nanosilica additives, Aeroxide LE 1 and LE 2 . The use of these two additives in plastic products can make their appearance more beautiful, and also can make the polymer material highly hydrophobic, and the polymer material has good dustproof performance and easy cleaning performance. When used, this nanopowder is sprayed directly into the extrusion die and then mixed with the polymer material, which has very good self-cleaning properties. At present, its application in extrusion molding, blow molding and thermoforming is still under further development.
