Ron Broomfield is a fan of garden elf dolls. He has collected more than 1,700 garden elf dolls, and even wears pointed hats to dress up as garden elves. He is accompanied by these collections and uses this to raise funds for the National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse (NSPCC).
When Ron, who was nearing the age of five, saw seven dwarf dolls 50 years ago, he was deeply obsessed with the garden elves. At present, a variety of garden elf dolls have "taken over" his entire house, and their footprints are everywhere in the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Ron is also on the TV show. Although Ron’s behavior is eccentric in the eyes of others, he insists that these little things not only make him happy, but also bring smiles to others.
Because of his passion for dolls, Ron has no intention of finding a life partner. Although Ron's five hardcore fans have dinner with him every week, he believes that they are just coming to their collections.
