Scapa North America, Inc. ofWinders, Connecticut, introduced two new high-performance polyester film products, Scapa 572 and 573, which are protective films for single-sidedly coated silicone adhesives. They are suitable for aerospace and other industries. High temperature, easy to peel off the substrate, this film and its slitting tape can be used for metal and plastic composite products.
Scapa 572 is a heavy-duty film with a carrier polyester film thickness of 2 mils (0 · 050mm), high dimensional stability, high tensile strength and elongation at break. Scapa 573 has a carrier polyester film thickness of 1 mil (0.025 mm). The advantage is that the silicone adhesive has a temperature resistance of 400 (204°C), chemical resistance, and the adhesive strength and tear strength of the silicone adhesive can ensure long-term and stable use of the protective film. Both products act as barriers in aerospace and other industrial products to prevent leakage of liquid materials. Scapa 573 is available in a variety of colors for use by users. Scapa only has a blue color.
