Smart card printing usually uses resin-based thermal curing inks and solvent-based soft-plastic screen printing inks. The selection of inks should mainly focus on the two major elements of strong adhesion and high hiding power. This is also the key for card printing. Adhesion mainly affects the adhesion fastness of the ink and the card substrate, and the hiding power mainly affects the printing quality. Therefore, when adjusting the viscosity of the ink, it is necessary to select a solvent that is more compatible with the ink. The color of the ink must be based on the basic color, and the color number of the ink should be as small as possible. Generally, 3 to 4 colors are used to grasp the color. Because domestic mesh yarns are not ideal in terms of extensibility and wear resistance, imported nylon mesh yarns are often used. Screen printing generally chooses 150-350 mesh screens, but for gold-silver ink printing, the size of all gold-silver powder particles should be considered when selecting the number of meshes to ensure that they can pass through the mesh aperture.
