Abstract: The toughness of POF shrink film is characterized by testing its tensile strength and elongation at break. In this paper, the toughness of the POF shrink film was verified by testing the above properties of POF shrink film samples by using XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine independently developed by Labthink. At the same time, by detailing the test principle, equipment parameters, scope of application and test procedures, it provides a better detection method for the relevant industry to monitor the toughness of shrink film products.

2, test basis
This article refers to the test requirements of the soft plastic packaging toughness test GB/T 1040.3-2006 "Determination of tensile properties of plastics Part 3: Test conditions for thin plastics and sheets".

4, testing equipment
In this paper, the tensile strength and elongation at break of the samples were tested using the XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine independently developed by Labthink.

4.1 Test principle
The sample is clamped between the two chucks of the clamp, and the two chucks are moved relative to each other. The force value sensor and the built-in displacement sensor on the movable chuck are used to collect the force value change and displacement during the test. The change is made to calculate the tensile, tearing, deformation rate and other performance indexes of the sample.
4.2 Scope of application
(1) This equipment can be used for tensile strength and elongation at break, tensile strength, tensile strength and deformation rate, tear resistance, peel strength properties, heat seal strength properties, and puncture resistance of plastic film, sheet and other materials. 5, the test steps
(1) Using a sampler, five strips of 15 mm wide and 200 mm long were cut from the longitudinal direction of the sample.
(2) Install the two ends of the sample on the upper and lower chucks of the equipment. The long axis direction of the sample should coincide with the center line of the upper and lower clamps.
(3) Set parameter information such as test speed and sample width.
(4) Click the test start option and the test starts.
(5) The instrument automatically calculates and displays the final test results.
6, test results
The longitudinal tensile breaking force of the test was 27.793 N, the tensile strength was 142.518 MPa, the elongation at break was 82.9%, the transverse tensile breaking force was 32.412 N, the tensile strength was 148.594 MPa, and the elongation at break was 87.7%. .
