Avocado jelly (sB) has been used as an excellent new cosmetic raw material in Africa and European countries for hundreds of years. However, it has only been recognized in China in recent years. There are still few reports on the research of avocado, and the author will focus on the basic composition, characteristics and application of it in the cosmetics industry.

Avocado is found in the fruit of a woody oil plant, Shea, grown in the western and central African regions where there is little rain and dry heat. It is a new natural oil raw material. China was introduced in the dry heat valley of Yuanjiang, Yunnan Province in the 1970s. Usually, shea is 4m to 13m high with milk. The flowering period is from December of the following year to February of the next year. The fruit period is from April to June. The berry is spherical and the diameter is 4cm~5cm. It is brown when mature.
In Africa, the outer nuts can be eaten in March and April, and the content of avocado in the innermost chocolate-colored pits is 45% to 55%. The oil content of the avocado nuts from Yuanjiang, Yunnan, China is about 48% to 56%. Every year, Henkel of Germany and Fancor Cosmetics Raw Materials of the United States go to West Africa to buy shea nuts and process them into primary refining oil, and then refine and purify them in Europe or North America. The avocados used in cosmetics and chocolate in China are mainly from these two companies.
2 composition and characteristics of avocado
The avocado lipid is mainly composed of monounsaturated triglyceride, and its appearance is hard paste-like. It is softly covered with small granular crystals. It has a large odor before refining. The color is yellow or light green according to its processing and production process, and it has a light after refining. The unique aroma of avocado trees is white, making storage and transportation extremely convenient.
The glyceride component of avocado is mainly glyceryl oleate distearate (45.9%), glyceryl dioleate stearate (45.0%), glyceryl oleate palmitate stearate, glycerin Palmitic acid stearate and glycerol trioleate (6.8%).
