MacDermid Autotype Hard Coated Polyester Film

MacDermid Autotype has introduced an innovative hard-coated polyester film for use on a variety of precision equipment. This diaphragm is called Autotex AM and has a well-textured, hard-coated surface on the new polyester base. It is resistant to scratches, chemicals, and is particularly resistant to repeated cleaning of aggressive cleaners. Autotex AM is the first of its kind to use Microban technology and uses a textured hard-coated film during production. This process ensures that the antimicrobial agent is evenly distributed on the surface of the film and will not be washed or worn out. This ensures that the Autotex AM has an antimicrobial protection over its entire service life. The Microban technology prevents microbial growth due to constant contact and continuous operation and maintains a more stable and lower biological burden than other diaphragms that do not use Microban protection technology.

In order to verify the effectiveness of the new diaphragm and ensure that users have confidence in their long-term use, a large number of experiments were conducted in mainstream independent laboratories. Simulate the actual flushing process with a standard sample and do the Autotex AM 15 year use test. Tests were performed using a variety of different samples, including printed samples that were untreated and removed directly from the production line, such as products from jet drying, UV drying, and infrared dryers.

In addition, the film sample was subjected to a surface abrasion simulation test, which included partially removing the texture with sandpaper and grinding the surface with a filament until it was smooth. Finally, the simulation embossing process, the film sample shrinks 20% in both vertical and horizontal directions.
