French new glass bottle is concerned by the Chinese medical community

Recently, France introduced a new type of medicinal glass bottle, and it was recently paid attention to by the Chinese medical community at the “Seminar on R&D and selection of pharmaceutical glass materials”.

The new glass, developed by Saint-Gobain, France, is a Type I borosilicate glass that uses a low-alumina formulation. It has high dimensional and strength stability and features low Al2O3 precipitation. It is ideally suited for the packaging of products that are sensitive to trace elements, such as enzymes or products without preservatives and moderators, and has broad prospects for the packaging of blood products, nutritional products, biological agents and genetic engineering drugs.

At present, this product has attracted the attention of a number of Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturers. The personnel of Nanjing Jinling Pharmaceutical Preparations stated that they will further understand the characteristics of such packaging materials through comparative tests.
