CAVANNA recently introduced two innovative technologies

One is a high-speed packaging line for chocolate bars, starting with an arrayed dispensing system. This system allows the items to be erected upright before being inserted into the loading system and fed into the packaging machine. This sorting and distribution system is connected to the Cavanna Zero 5 packaging machine and consists of a series of conveyor belts. The servo drive can gently process the packages and move them into the packaging line without mechanical devices. The entire program is driven by Allen Bradley electronic devices.

The second innovation is Flowsonic, a technology packaging system developed by Cavanna's R&D department. This is a new ultrasonic sealing system that can be used in automatic production lines at speeds of up to 200 packs per minute. It can also seal normal heat-sealed packaging materials without the use of heating devices.

The use of ultrasonic sealing has many advantages: it saves energy, saves packaging film, and can even be completely sealed under difficult conditions. All materials can be used in wet or dusty environments.

The application of this technology can produce optimal packaging effects for products that are susceptible to heat, such as chocolate, and fully guarantee product quality. This system can be applied to both existing and new packaging machines, and new vertical sealing devices can be installed in the future. Cavanna also demonstrated the chocolate waffle packaging process using this technology at its Ipack-Ima booth.
